Lucy Outland Pulley, 95, of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017.

A native of Halifax County, Lucy was born to the late Cornelius Spurgeon and Minnie Gertrude Wheeler Outland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Goff Tippens, Sr.; her son, Steven Craig Tippens; and her brothers, Lester Outland, Louis Outland and George Outland; her sisters, Margaret Outland Parker and Raye Outland.

Lucy was a member of Rosemary United Methodist Church, a member of the Roanoke Rapids Senior Citizens and volunteered at the hospital for many years.

Lucy is survived by her daughter, Margo Tippens Rawlings and her husband, Robin, of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her sons, Rev. Norman Goff Tippens and his wife, Nancy, of Roanoke Rapids, NC, James Mark Pulley, Jr.; her seven grandchildren, her fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC with Rev. Randy Martin officiating.
